Info On Team Dynamic Tornado & Enkei RS-M Wheels

I am looking to purchase a set of aftermarket wheels and tires for a 2008 MCS that I will arrive late January/early February. I really like the look of the Team Dynamic Tornado wheels (17 x 7.5), but I am having trouble finding information. Can anyone help with info or a web link for info on weight?, offset?, TPMS compatability?, clearance for future bigger brake upgrade?, a knowledgeable/reliable sales source?, etc.

I am also considering the Enkei RS-M Wheels (17 x 7) from Tire Rack (15.5 lbs). If anyone has personal experience with either of these wheels, I would much appreciate your thoughts. Also, what size tires will mount on 7" vs. 7.5" rims. My current thought is to go with 215/45/17's for either rim width. Will 225/40/17's fit on the 7.5" rim without any clearance issues? I will likely also add the JCW suspension, which I believe will lower the car approx. 0.4" (if I use Mach V springs the lowering will be a bit more). Thanks in advance for the help. All thoughts are appreciated.

Welcome to NAM!
I actually started a thread similar to yours comparing a Team Dynamic wheel to an Enkei wheel; albeit different models than the ones your considering. Still haven't 100% decided which I'm gonna go with... I don't have any experience with either wheel, however I can be of some assistance with the last part of your question.

225/40/17 tires have a more than a half inch smaller diameter than 215/45/17's. So although they're wider, since you're going for the lower profile, they're smaller overall and consequently more likely to fit. Also 225's require a 7.5" wide wheel at the very least, so there won't be any stretching with the TD's. Therefore you should definitely be fine on either JCW or Mach V springs. Dan is actually running 235/40/17 tires on his MINI with the Mach V's and has no issues at all that I've heard. However, keep in mind that different tire manufacturers measure width differently. Hence it's not uncommon to buy Brand A's set of 215 tires that are just as wide as Brand B's 225's.

Finally, for the profiles you're looking at, a 7.5" wide wheel will expand your options to a 225 or 235 width tire. While a 7" only allows 205 and 215.
Hope that helped!

For some odd reason you are not allowed to post ebay links here... but there is a set of 17x7 4x100 TD Tornados for sale on ebay now. Starting bid $285. There is a little more info there:

4x100 and 4x113 (2 sets of holes)
ET 38
73mm bore

No weight info, though.

wheelweights.net lists the 17x7 Tornado at 19.8lbs. Not a featherwieght.
