Wheels of Death?

Now, I'm no expert here, but while searching online for wheels...I ran across these:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/16-Ri...spagenameZWDVW

At $49.75 each, I am going to say these are made of wood and/or plastic. I am not planning on getting these, but I found it funny and just had to share it.

Still under 800 bucks . The Mustang GT I gave to my dad had wheels that cost 1K total which I thought was a pretty good deal (1500 with tires and all) and were very nice and stable. I guess you could just buy 2 sets at a time and if you curb them you're good to go?

+1 I was just going to say that. $170 for shipping is alittle much.

these are probably being sold at his cost or maybe a little less if he's MAYBE making a couple bucks off of shipping.

hint: eBay doesn't take a percentage of the shipping costs as commission for listing

These actually look cool. Real LE37 rims would be nice. The TE37 is the solid color volk iirc. I had LE37s on my cav and they were absoulutely beautiful. Too bad a mini isn't 5 lug.

That is you answer RIGHT there ...
If you notice you can now sort ebay by item price and shipping.

These would have shown up on one of the first pages if not for shipping ... and the comission / fees are on the item price

I bought a couple of things fot .99 or less ... but shipping handeling is the profit center.

Also if taxes need to be paid you do NOT tax shipping aind handeling

PS: not maybe on these wheels ... but why does ebay have such a bad rap for wheels as stated in this post.

there are some good wheels at good prices ...

You can definitely get a good price on average wheels (rota, konig, flik, spun), but the ones like the ones pictured above that are coming from random unknown companies with generic names for $400 are are the reason that ebay wheels got the rap that they did. The quality and strength on wheels like that is sub-par... often much worse than OEM even.

It's rare that you'll ever find good deals on high quality good wheels on ebay (OZ, Works, BBS, HRE, iForged, SSR, image)
