17" Mini cross spoke wheel alternative

I really like the look of the cross spoke wheel, but when I found out that the dealer or Outmotoring sells them for almost $500 ea., I freaked. Anyone have an alternative that looks as nice for less $$?

I have the 17" standard MCS sport lites which I like, but would prefer something sweeter looking..The Pirelli run flats have about 20K miles on them too. Some other folks have said 16" wheels/tires give a better ride, while others say investing in the Koni shocks are the key..too much money, in my book though.

Thanks gang.

*Edit*

I went to Outmotoring, he's talking about the R90, you know that they do come in 16" the 16" R90 I think are 1 piece, and they only come in silver. You'll lose out on the 17" 2 piece and the bolts!

You are bidding on a set(4) of brand new, 17x7" Mini Cooper R90 replica wheels in gunmetal grey with a machine polished lip.
Just pointing that out even though you did mention look alikes, just making sure he doesn't buy it thinking they are authentic R90

Can anyone speak to the quality of these replicas? For the price, I almost think it's worth picking them up regardless...certainly would prefer to hear they're of decent quality, though.

Also- anyone have pictures of the 'graphite' finish of wheelsandcaps' version? The pics they have on ebay don't look as dark as the authentic graphite R90s.

Thanks!

The weight of these doesn't seem to be in the auction, does anybody know what it is? The auction says that they are manufactured to OE specs, and I would assume they are the same weight, can anyone confirm that weight?

from mini2.com faqs, they stated the r90's are like a little less than 23 pounds. 22.6ish range. i love the look, but they are heavy... i wished bbs made them forged or at least lighter like their rgr's

These look like an updated version of the V-spoke. Make sure you have small hands if you ever want to clean these puppies. 125K on mine, and I fear they will never be clean again...
