Tire Pressure on non runflats

Hello,
Today I had BF Goodrich g-Force KDW-NT 215/45ZR17 installed on my 2006 MINI S with web spoke rims. The sticker on the door says to run 35psi on the old 205/45-17 run flats. Any suggestions on what psi to put on the new g-force would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Gerald

If you search for the answer you will find many threads.

Doesn't matter what tire size you use. It's always the same pressure for any MINI 2002-2006. Pressures can be slightly higher for new 2007 R56 MCS.

35 psi is OK.

Use 34 to 37 psi front and rear. Higher side if you have four people all the time.

I think my door jams say 38 PSI. I ran 34 PSI on my 215-45-17 and got uneven wear. Too much on the outer an not on the inner tread indicating under inflation.

38 is fine. Higher usually means less rolling resistance, good load capacity but slighty firmer ride.

If you have only 1-2 people in the car most of the time then 38 is a little high but workable. If 4 people then 38 is good.

Try out different psi and see what you think.

34-35 psi offer potentially a little more comfort, may depend on how smooth your roads are. Bumpy roads will feel a little better with lower pressure.

As temperature is colder in the winter your tire pressure will drop. So checking pressure at 50 degrees if you see 38 psi will be lower when the temperature is at 30. Error on the high side is better in winter.

Opposite in fullsun or in the summer. Checking pressure after tires are in sunlight for hours or midday will show higher pressures by a few psi maybe 3 or 4. Don't be worried if the tire feels a little warm and it's 39-40 psi on the side facing the sun but only 37 psi on the shady side when checked at the same time.
