Help me out guys!

I need new tires for my '05 MC -currently have 175/65/15 which I am finding are limited in replacement options. Am I correct that I could go with a different tire at 185/60/15 or 185/65/15 or 195/60/15 with no problems? Thoughts on which might be best for moderate/highway miles?

Thanks!

Try Treadepot.com looks like they have a couple of Continentals for around $72 each with free shipping.

185/60/15 might be a bit on the small side.
Either 185/65/15 or 195/60/15 would work fine
on the stock 15x5.5 rims.

There is a "tyre" size calculator here.

I ran these #s as the calculator above gives results in mm.
Remember that even with oem tires, there's a little bit of range in diameters.
175/65/15 = 23.96"
195/55/16 = 24.44"
205/45/17 = 24.26"

and
185/60/15 = 23.74"
185/65/15 = 24.47"
195/60/15 = 24.21" (I'm using this size for my winter tires on 7-hole oem rims.)

For moderate highway miles I would suggest the 185/65/15. It is slightly larger in diameter and should improve fuel milage. If fuel milage is a concern.

Look for an all season type tire with a high tread wear number, something over 400. Some of the manufacturers advertise their tires as low rolling resistance for increased milage.

High performance or summer tires forgo milage for performance and they do not deliver as long a tread life.

Life is just a bunch of trade offs.
