Talk me out of Team Dynamics 1.2's

Is that for r56 or r53? i am sorta confused. I was really under the impression that the r56's TPMS was in the valve stem?
Any earlier cars use indirect - where any wheel works, as long as all 4 tires are the same diameter.
Direct monitoring on mini 9/2007 and newer - require a depression in the saftey hump right behind the valve stem - this allows the monitor to sit flush and seal perfectly.

On a side note, Pro Race 1.2s are a little heavier than 1.0s. The slightly curved spoke of the 1.0s is stronger, so it allows them to make the wheel lighter.
When the 1.2s came out, the spokes were straighter, so the wheel had to be heavier. Also, being straighter, it allows for less brake clearance.
The smaller amount of brake clearance and slight weight penalty is not an issue to me (at least on a street wheel), and I prefer the look of the 1.2. But, they are things to be aware of.

I am confused about the TPMS issue as well. If it is part of the valve stem, wouldnt any rim be compatible?
BTW I am also here in Phoenix and do not see many modified minis on the streets.
I think the only place you see custom minis are on the web, most people are kinda dorky and leave there vehicle bone stock (yuck) i say if ya like em go for it! it may be played out here but not in the real world!

Are these going to be your 'daily driver' wheels, your 'DE/TrackDay' wheels, 'Auto-X' wheels or an 'all of the above' type of wheel?
I love my Webspokes but didn't like chewing through my street tires for the occasional Auto-X class or DE fun, so I got some dedicated wheels/tires for spirited driving: Rota Slipstreams (black w/ polished lip) in 16x6.5 with 215/40/16 R-Comps.
And the 12mm spacers to clear the Wilwoods really put the front tires out there!
My main point here (if I have one at all) is to think about your use for the car over the next few years and then choose your wheel/tire wardrobe using that as your starting point.

The rims look ok on the car but you definately need to go bigger, theres to much wheel well showing. 17's min 18's fill em nice! 225's are real nice as well.
fatten er up for better handling on the turns

Thanks! These are track-only tires for me, so I'm not worried too much about how they look... just how they perform. Smaler wheels have several benefits for the track and Auto-X, so I went for functionality over style for these. I've got a feeling that 225s are going to cause some interference issues in tight turns with my lowered car and painted arches... anyone tried 'em on 16" wheels?
