Advice: Wheels 4 daily driver with track, xcross use
Having a hard time making a decision for my PS/B R56. It's lowered with Mach V springs and I want to avoid rubbing issues. I plan on mounting 215/45/17's but can't seem to pull the trigger on a wheel. I narrowed it down to 5 but each has pro's and con's.
Help me decide between these:
5Zigen Fno1R-c: $149, Silver, 15.5 lbs. pro's: weight & price, con's: look's and very common.
5Zigen Pro Racer ZR 520: $200, gunmetal, ? lbs., pro's: looks, con's: weight rumored to be 23 or 24 lbs., price.
Enkei RS+M: $245, silver, 16.8 lbs., pro's: mfg. reputation, weight, con's: price & looks.
BBS RV-F: $465, Black Diamond, 16 lbs., Pro's: mfg. reputation, weight, con's: price, and 17x7.5 (rubbing issues?).
R1 Racing Hype: $171, Machined face/Black, 22lbs., Pro's: looks, price, Con's: unknown (to me) mfg., durability on track & street (lip).
The plan is to have one of these wheels on for summer and the stock crown spokes for winter. Track/lapping days will be once a month with maybe an x-cross event occasionally and car control clinics.
Tires are a whole other issues but leaning toward Toyo T1r's or Falken Azenis RT 615's.
Is weight that important for what I'm planning to do? Not planning on getting competitive with Solo II so am I putting too much emphasis on weight?
Thoughts please.

RV-F's on 215/45/17 RE01R. R56 has more clearance to the outside...if you run some camber, no issues and the RE01R's are wide for a 215/45 (run another tire and you'll have more room to work)
another option - Enkei NT03+M - Edge Racing was blowing them out at $169/ea. I got the hyper black and hated the finish, so I painted them satin black. 17x7.5 ET45 and 16lbs if I remember right. They are built with MAT technology...Alex from Tire Rack said he thinks it's a stronger design than OZ Ultraleggera (paraphrasing his comments.....plus, OZ's are de rigeur on MINI's...everybody has then)

Since it seems that weight is a concern, I would narrow it down to either the RS+M or FN01R-C. These are the two wheels that you will benefit in the motorsporting department. The FN01R-C for $149 is a steal, IMO. As for tires, I would consider the Hankook Rs2 Z212 (lighter than RT-615). Since you are lowered, you may have better clearance than running the RT-615. The RT-615 is a wider than normal tire which may cause rubbing with your suspension set-up. The T1-R is a good street class tire, but you will get better results on the track and auto-X with the Hankook. Personally, I would look into the Enkei NT03+M. Not because we have a major sale on them, but because it is a great wheel for the abuse you want to lay on them. The MAT technology makes them extremely durable. Let me know if you have any other questions I can help you with.
