Can't you guys quantify this?
Are they not as strong?
Are they too heavy?
Are their styles not to your tastes?
Is their craftsmanship too rough?
"...not at the same level..." makes me think you guys just need to see slicker advertising with more elegant girls.

Centerline has cracking problems. Most are classic styled for muscle cars. That work for you?

Actually, I like the retro hot rod look.
I've heard of one case where a wheel had a crack. Are there other cases?

They have some nice looking wheels, if you go for chrome or polished. Not sure of pricing.

From what I've seen (i just helped my buddy buy a set of centerlines, actually) the finish just isn't up to par with the finishes that I've seen on HRE's or other brands that i listed. They also don't offer the same caliber of "custom" ordering that the other brands offer.

Don't get me wrong...their billet stuff is pretty darn nice, but the forged wheels meant for "sport compacts" are just lacking in finish and design.

Can you quantify that they ARE as good as the other wheels? I don't think I've seen centerlines even come close to being compared to the other wheels listed in this thread......and car wheels are my "hobby" to say the very least.

That took place 7 years ago. So I looked further and found other instances. Then I found a reference to the Better Business Bureau. So, I looked them up on http://www.bbb.org

Ouch! CenterLine Wheels got an F rating, which generally means:
"We strongly question the company’s reliability for reasons such as that they have failed to respond to complaints, their advertising is grossly misleading, they are not in compliance with the law’s licensing or registration requirements, their complaints contain especially serious allegations, or the company’s industry is known for its fraudulent business practices."

I can agree with the mediocre of quality in the finish.

What I was interested in knowing -- and why I kept prodding you guys -- was what was lacking in CenterLine wheels. I can live with the design, and (having done a lot of jewelry and silversmithing) I know how to fix the finish problem. The wheels are polished aluminum, so no anodizing or paint to prevent me from improving the polish.

Looks like I better keep an eye on them for cracks. I've mostly been running Rota RB 16x7s, but use the CenterLine RPM 17x7 for canyon carving, and plan on trying autox weekend after next.

Diamond black BBS RV-F's $1950 for a set - does that meet with everyone's approval?

BBS RV-F rock. 17 x7.5 42ET, 16.0 lbs. I found them on sale for $1850 @ Speedware Motorsports in Diamond Black.

My 07 MCS is PS/B and we took them out to the car and they looked great but I couldn't pull the trigger, just too spendy for me.

Great looking wheel, IMO.

Hey, if you find some Gram Lights 57s 17" wheels let me know where. I've been looking for a while with no results. I would love to get a set for my car, but I guess I just don't know the right places to look.

You seem to be. You are right, they cracked about 4.5 years ago, but he bought them about seven years ago.

However, if I'd bothered to check their BBB rating before buying from them, I would have stayed away. I think I'll take them out of my sig, as that might be taken as an endorsement.

i love my HRE's. i have the 447R w/ a brushed finish. they are light for a 18" wheel. they are custom built and fit perfectly. my car rides MUCH better w/ my SSR type C-RS track wheels. i've been very impressed w/ my recent discussions w/ Kodiak. when is asked about weight, the said that they would make them as light as i wanted! nice forged, three piece, custom built wheels at a fair price. i'm going to order a couple of sets for track wheels. if others are interested in these, with similar specs, pm me. we might be able to get an even better price. RSR is running these wheels. i'm a wheel junkie....i admit it.....i like good looking, light and strong wheels.
