Track ONLY tires, summer ONLY tires...
#26
the A048's that some people are recommending for summer use are NOT good in the rain, ask anyone with a lotus. The hankook z212 seems to be better than the Azenis frm a performance standpoint, and its tread pattern seems like it would be a lot better in the rain than the funky azenis tread pattern.
As far as track only, Hoosier is definitely the best but if you're on a budget the nitto NT01 performs great and wears better than the R888 from what I've seen reported.

I've run sets of RT215s, RT615s, and RS2 down to slicks on DE weekends. I liked the RT215s the best. I couldn't tell much difference between the RT615s and RS2s. Buy whichever is cheaper.
Like I said earlier I just did one DE weekend on Sumitomo HTR-Zs and so far am pleased with their performance. Need to verify on a warmer weekend - next DE is at the end of April which should be a good test.
