BBS Le Mans... AGAIN
sorry guys for making a thread about the bbs le mans wheels again but I could not find the info I need.
I need to know some specs about these wheels:
we all know the pics.. whe all know that it is not going to be easy to fit them BUT... WHO has some more info.
I know I need 18" x 8J 's and I would like 5x100 with adapters... but which adapters and which offset do I need to complete the fitting
so WHAT do I all need to get those wheels fitted!?
cheers

Good luck finding 4x100 --> 5x100 that's a rare one if possible at all. Not all lug patterns allow for adapter transitions due to overlap. Some companies can supply them with wobble bolts or have overlapped the holes and you don't use one of the bolts to hold the adapter on.
You're best bet is 5x130 (porsche) fitment because that's an easy adapter to find and porsche wheels often have high offsets. My guess is that car has porsche wheels on there.
My guess is that those wheels (if they're 8" wide) have a final offset of about 15-20....and assuming it's a 25mm adapter (they almost all are) you will need to find some 18x8 et45's
They're running a rediculous amount of stretch though without it there is no way those wheels would fit...and the tread would poke out which just doesnt look good My guess is the tires are 205's with a very low sidewall.

these adapters are possible.. there are loads of more firms who make them...
But I don't want to just take a guess.. I want to know sure that they fit..
4x100 are available but only in 17" .... but they look to small in 17" so 18" is a must..
I was hoping that someone knows exactly what this guy did...
many thanks for your answer and thanks for helping me out here..

Hi, I too was starting to think about 17" BBS LM replica as I really can't afford the real one
I've done some research and I've came across "GT Werks" in this forum
http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthr...ighlight=4x100
In his sign, you could see he listed the 4x100 LM for $700 shipped.
Looks like he's got some good review before and I was going to contact him when summer comes. May be you can try contacting him and let us know about a potential group buy?

I found somewhere a 15mm adapter, that might be a better choice so you're not running a 20 offset on the 18s. I doubt you could go very low with that offset. If you decide to go with the LMs let me know I should be able to hook you up.

FK makes them in 15mm....the quality is unknown though. Some people say FK is the APC of germany.

Are there any high-quality 20mm adapters out there? That with the Porsche front fitment 18x8 BBS LM would look sick.

I don't even know if it's true....i just know that I've heard stories about "friends of friends" who had an FK adapter crack or something.
I ran FK spacers without any problem....looked like good quality to me. So who knows.
There are lots of places where you can get spacers custom made down to 15mm for cheaper than H&R.
Someone said that this guy can make them as small as 18mm in whatever sizing you need. http://www.wheeladapter.com/home.asp
I dont think you'll find anything as small as 3mm...you wouldnt be able to fit the first 4 bolts
