Eagle F1 GS-D3's, but now what?

was thinking of dumping my RFT's for the Eagle F1's, then caught the threads about the made in China, vs. Germany. (Not knocking the made in China tires, but I'd prefer a European tire for that price). Now I'm thinking of going with the Michelin Pilot Exalto PE2's. Would like to keep it at the 205/45-17, but could go with 215/45-17. Roads aren't that bad where I live in Arizona. Thoughts to another tire for my setup? (not planning any track use, but would still like a great performing tire. Money not really an issue, and would like to get at least 20K miles out of a set).

TIA,

-Jav

Just search for 205/45-17 tires.
Nothing wrong with GSD3 for street use and it's very likely to work just fine. Goodyear will have to see that their standards are met no matter where it is produced.

Bridgestone Potenza RE-01R likely the best handling tire but only 180 treadwear won't last 20,000 miles but works well for street use with handling and performance as a priority, has good street manners as well and comes in stock size and 215/45-17 but 205/45-17 will work fine and is lighter.

Pilot Exalto PE2 another good choice, a balance of handling and good street manners.

thanks. appreciate your insight in these threads. I'm leaning towards the PE2's.
