Interesting! Sort of retro then, lol. That's cool, as long as it's not the hip/trendy thing to do today, I'll be that more unique. LOL.
But what kind of car is that???? Those wheels don't fit right.

Funny, did some Image Googling for Volk Racing and then came across a company that sells a similar wheel to mine.

Ok back to the topic
Here are the wheels after painting. They look great! Not 100% perfect--as it was hand masked, but it's ok with me. They are good enough.
The wheels are at my tireshop getting the TC-400 sensors installed and the Nitto NeoGens mounted and balanced. I will pick them up in 45 minutes, and mount them on my car for the drive home tonight. Tomorrow, my friend Doug who is a master at doing car electronics and wiring will help me tidy up my TC-400 install.
I also removed my chrome gas cap today and left it with the same powder coaters to be painted black satin the same as the wheels.

Thanks!
re: Hella
I dunno, partly cause I'm a gadget freak, and being able to see the PSI and temp changes in my tires would be kinda cool during autocross once in awhile. They are also on sale at Amazon for $179, lol. I don't know of anyone that's put it on the '02-'06 MINI yet--not saying no one has, but I personally don't know anyone. Combined with my Scangauge, I can monitor all aspects of the car now, lol.
And since I had bare rims, now is the best time to give them a try to see if I like them or not.
Hmmm, which reminds me, time to go pick them up. =)

Thanks everyone. Just came back from the tire shop. I love how the Nittos look. Total weight before the painting and with the Falken Ziex 512's was 37 pounds and is now at 38.8 pounds--up a little less than 2 pounds from before but I think it's all tire weight since the Nittos are now wider. I forgot to weigh the wheels without the tires. Oh and there are quite a few wheel weights, I think to compensate for the tire sensor.
With Nitto NeoGen (215/40/17)
Old Weight with Ziex 512 (205/45/17)
Got to get back detailing a car, and when I finish, I'll mount the wheels tonight before going home.

Good idea. Any thoughts on the center caps?? They are in chrome, and I made the custom MINI center logo.
Paint them? Leave them? Leave the rusty hub exposed? lol. Not sure if painting them red will be too much--maybe black so they are less obtrusive and focus the attention on the main ring lip.

FWIW I'm getting those intercooler horns I bought from you in red installed tomorrow by Danny, lol. After doing the wheels, I was tempted to powdercoat those horns, but ran out of time. Figure I can always powdercoat the take offs and reinstall them (if it bothers me) when I do the RMW head----one of these days, lol.
