I would start at 38 and then lower it a bit until you find the pressure you like.

I am running 215/40-17 at 37 front and 35 rear.

Tire pressures are based on the weight of the car not the tire size.

It doesn't matter which wheels and tires you have, your door jam has a metal plate listing the recommended pressures front and rear based on your use- either 2 or 4 people.

Use 34 to 37 psi cold pressure front and back, 37 is for 4 people.

You can run a little high for highway driving.

Check pressures when tires are cold, early in the day not in the sun is best or at night.

Tire pressures go up with tires heating up or in full sunlight.

I have noticed increased wear on the outside of the tires with pressures under what am running.

Front tires will wear on the outer edges with any hard cornering and if you don't rotate tires on a regular basis.

This wear pattern is very common.

You can do a little better if you increase front tire pressures about 2 psi.

Always check for wear and do rotate if you can every 3000-4000 miles, even sooner if you are hard on tires.

Thanks. I was talking about the wear when I run a bit lower pressure what I am now. Now with the camber plates and the pressures I run now I am getting real good wear. Just a bit more on the inside because of the increased camber.
