S-Lite not so light

just brought a set of used s-lite wheels 17" with no tires, holy crap were they heavy!!! Guess i'll need to shell out some $$$ for the SSRs....

Yes, they are well known for being 25.1 lbs each. The tire forum lists the weights of all the MINI OEM wheels.

Add a 24 lbs runflat tire and you get almost 50 lbs per corner. My current 15" stock wheels and tires are about 29 lbs per corner. Holey rims are cheap and 175/65-15 tires are light and functional.
