Yes, a good place to start-

I think the weight is about 15 lbs each caliper rotor hat combo.
Note that some of the options are more cosmetic than functional like caliper color or drilled and or slotted rotors. Depends on your reason for the brake kit. You want stopping power? Talk to Todd at TCE and optimize for that vs for looks, then make them look good for your taste.
Upgraded brake fluid helps and better pads are an option. I think the price is competitive with alternative BBK for the MINI.

Plus 5:The 14" Kit. $1869
So you got those monster wheels and you just can't find what you want in the market for BIG brakes...well here it is! This monster front kit will provide years of stopping and viewing pleasure. Combining huge 14" rotors with the Wilwood BSL4r calipers you get smooth style with unmatched performance. They say "bigger it better" so this is it!
  • Wilwood BSL4r radial mount calipers
  • Fully dust booted all weather performance
  • Wilwood billet aluminum rotor hats
  • 14" x 1.10" directional cast rotors
  • Gas slotted and zinc plated
  • TCE spec stainless steel hose
  • Optional RED powder coat finish- ADD $125
  • Optional cross drilled rotor finish- ADD $135
  • Wilwood 570 brake fluid- ADD $8ea (12oz)
*For wheel fit check please see http://www.tceperformanceproducts.com/wheel_fit.html
** Use of ANY wheel spacer will require the installation of a stud conversion kit.

Make sure-
Your wheels are big enough to fit over the brake calipers and rotors-
You upgrade your rear brakes to help with brake bias balance.

Why do you want a 14" kit?

Call Todd at TCE, talk to him about what you really need, and he'll steer you well. His prices are fair. He knows his stuff. FWIW, the only reason you'd want a 14" kit is for looks. If that's the driver for your decision, so be it. You are adding a lot of unsprung weight to get the look you're after.

I'll agree with everything said.

It's not a Wilwood kit, it's a TCE kit with Wilwood calipers thus I'm the only choice for it. (but it's priced fair and not terribly popular so I'm not expecting a lot of competition!)

It's much more "form over function" as the car simply does not need the level of brake torque one could produce with this monster. And I'd also clearly suggest one do a rear kit (either one) with this so we don't wildly elevate front bias. And look the part of course.

Weight is not as bad as one might think. The rotor is a relatively modest 1.10" and not a full 1.25 found on some 13" kits. As mentioned the one shown comes in about 15lbs with the hat. That's about 3lbs heavier than the more common 13-.810 combo you are all familiar with. Benefits? To an extent some added mass is good. But as stated such weight can hinder other performance factors.

But they do look sweet behind some 18s...

I agree, and I don't care about the weight.
