Thoughts on these tires?
Looking to replace my stock RF Dunlops with non-RF tires. I live in Vegas with hot pavement, very little rain (but when it does the road is very slippery due to the build up of gunk on the roads). In the winter it can get to near freezing temps (and below on semi-rare occasions). I really don't want to have to change wheels/tires when it gets cold, so I'm thinking all season performance tires...but how do they work on really hot days?
My requirements are (in this order):
1) cost
2) treadwear
3) handling
4) road noise
The following two tires look good, the first being an all season, the second two aren't. Bridgestones just went on sale today so price is a wash.
Bridgestone Potenza G 019 Grid
Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sport
General Exclaim UHP
Thoughts?
Thanks!

I have ran the General Exclaim for the past 12 months, and have been very happy with them. I think they would rank at the top of your list considering the 4 requirements that you have posted.
Follow the link below to the Tire Rack website where they have tested 47 different tires that are in the same class as the General Exclaim. Out of the 47 tires tested, General is #1. You can't get any better than that.

Cool link...you're right, the Generals do look good. My only concern is that they are summer tires only (as I said, not crazy about the idea of swapping tires...even if I wanted to I have no place to store them).
Leaning at the moment to the Bridgestone Potenza G 019 Grid if only for that reason.
Decisions, decisions...my hair hurts!

Ok, I'm stupid and having never been there I'll ask.
You live in Vegas. Compared to say the North East where it snows a lot during the winter, or my area where it ices during the winter months, why would you need to change tires for the winter in Vegas?
Does it snow or ice during the winter months, where traction would be a problem?

Sin Mini: I also live in Las Vegas and have a set of the General UHP's mounted on my "winter" wheels for my '07 MCS. My original wheels are white and my hands freeze to keep them clean in the winter. I've had them on the car for about 3500 miles and am very happy with them so far. I have not run into any situations so far which would lead me to believe all season tires are needed in Las Vegas. I got mine from TreadDepot for $308 delivered for all 4. Send me a PM if you would like to check them out on the car.
