Kumho tires

Have them, like them, think the Z rated ASXs are worth the extra $$ if you'll be hitting the twisites with lots of vigor. So I run ASTs on my backup wheels and ASXs on my primaries.

Had them - wouldn't get them again. Look nice, ride nice, do ok on snow. BUT they get way noisy after about 10K miles. That is the biggest complaint in the reviews. I couldn't stand it and had to replace them by 15k, w still quite a bit of life left. My alignment was perfect too, so that wasn't the issue.

I have ASXes on currently and have about 5-6k miles on them. They are a massive improvement from the old runflats in terms of noise and comfort. They do not handle *quite* as well but I was willing to suffer that for a more comfortable ride (mostly commuting in this car with an occasional run).
I actually wanted Bridgestone Potenza RE-01Rs, but was unable to find them locally and HAD to get them locally as I had a flat to deal with.
I really like this page from Tire Rack...you can choose whichever category you think suits you, and see how different tires fared in different conditions.

I have the ASX tire now and I love it. I am looking to put my old MX summer tires on the new s-lites. Either tire is good and Kumho is a great prodcut for the price.
I had the AST tire before and loved it. Doesn't wear as well as the premium guys, but 20k shouldn't be a problem out of those tires.
