Swapping tires and/or wheels at dealer

Do mini dealers swap out the run flats when you buy a MCS? From the online info it seems that the only option is the runflat tires. What I’d like to do is swap them for regular tires, a spare, and a toolkit.

BTW, does the donut fit in a MCS like it does in a MC? Or is the space normally devoted to the donut in the MC not available?

The donut for the Cooper fits where the battery is in the S. (Underneath in the trunk).

I have heard of people taking off their runflats at the dealer, or the dealer changing wheels. You'll want to contact your specific dealer to see whether they'll have the tires, or if you'll need to bring the tires, and whether they'll charge you for any / all of the service.

Yeah, check with your dealer. They probably won't sell you non-factory tires (otherwise they'd kinda have to be a tire store), but they'll probably mount and balance a set that you bring in. I've had a few sets of non-runflat tires put on at the dealer.

I varies by dealership.

Don't expect any help from your dealership to swap out tires or wheels.

Some will keep your extras so be sure to account for anything.

The alternative is to buy wheels and tires then sell them or change them yourself.

You can buy non runflats in the stock size or similar and sell the tires that are not being used.

A compact spare can be put into a bag and stored in the boot but you only want to mount the spare on the rear not the front in case of a flat.
