Spacers??

Spacers can be for looks to widen your stance but if taken too far out tend to overstress your wheel bearings.
Spacers that are very wide will need longer bolts or studs so that the wheel can be fastened on the hub securely. 3mm doesn't usually need more length but depending on your case 10mm usually do. If you have long tuner studs and open lug nuts that will work OK.
Spacers will allow for more clearance by pushing the wheel outward from the wheel wells and help clear the rear lower trailing arm and suspension parts.
Sometimes spacers don't allow hub centering rings to fit properly. Thicker spacers will need a small lip to help the ring when using aftermarket wheels.
