Which Pump Do You Recommend?
I ditched the run-flats long ago. But, I don't yet carry a pump/patch kit.
I'm considering two:
http://www.tirerack.com/accessories/...tkit/index.jsp
and
http://www.outmotoring.com/mini-coop...ility_kit.html
Which do you think I should get? Anybody have good/bad experience with these? Any other recommendations?
Thanks in advance...

I picked up a 12v pump for $10 at Wal*Mart. It has a gague and worked when I needed it. I thought of spending more and looked at others, but they all looked pretty much the same. I have a Dynaplug kit and some pliers too to pull nails as part of my flat repair kit. I still have the runflats, but will probably get non RF if I can decide on a wheel.

The Conti kit is somewhat expensive, but it works very well. My MCS has yet to experience a flat, but I've used the Conti pump on a couple of other cars. One of them is still running - untouched - on the latex sealant repair almost six months after I pumped it up. Tire Rack carries the replacement cartridges for the sealant which must be ordered whenever you use the pump. It's an effective and easy-to-use setup. For insurance, I also carry a Dynapug kit.

Thanks for the input guys.....I still don't know which one to get. I'd like to have an air compressor that can be used for other things. But, then I can't really think of anything else I really need to inflate. I know people who autocross tend to inflate and deflate their tires regularly. I wonder if that's why people opt for the Conti or Outmotoring one, or do auto-xers buy bigger compressors for that purpose.

I got the Conti kit too. I really wanted it to fit in one of the side compartments in the boot. It didn't fit. So I got one of the Slime kits. The pump (just barely) fits in one of the side compartments and the slime and some misc other stuff fit in the compartment on the other side.

As far as storage, I keep it behind the drivers seat. I don't use my rear seats so its not in the way and it doesn't move around much.

I've heard that Fix-A-Flat is not washable and could ruin a tire.

I thought Slime was latex-based and could be washed out with water.

My ContiComfortKit has water based latex sealant that is very easy to wash out. Most "slime" kits in pressurized cans will not wash out - they are very sticky and must be scraped out.
NOTE on Metal Valve stems -If you Mini has OEM metal stems you have direct TPMS sensors inside your wheels. ANY and ALL forms of sealant will will render the sensor unusable.

It is the Fix-A-Flat and similar aerosol can sealants that glue themselves in and are very difficult to clean.
The ContiComfortKit and Slime brand sealants are both water soluable and easily cleaned.
Here's a couple of bullets from the Slime site:

Here's a couple of bullets from the Slime site:
Remains liquid inside the tire, coating the tread area as the tire rotates.
Non-toxic, non-hazardous, non-flammable, non-aerosol and water soluble.
Contains rust and corrosion inhibitors to maintain the integrity of the rim.
TPMS friendly (Note: May not install easily into tires with direct or valve mounted devices).
Tires treated with SLiME can be cleaned out with water allowing for the installation of a proper plug/patch.
I think the Mini valve mounted TPMS would not be as easily cleaned as implied and would probably need to be replaced. I don't have the valve mounted TPMS. The directions for Slime show using a supplied valve core removal tool, then attaching a tube to the valve stem and the Slime bottle. Then squeeze the reccommended amount of Slime into the tire. If I had the valve mounted TPMS I'd have to check to see if the valve core can be removed so you could even use Slime.
