Re-Assurance before I buy

Looking to put new wheels and tires on a 2007 MCS. Looking to go with the same size tire 205/45/17. Am looking at the Enkei WDM wheel, 17 x 7 w/42 offset. I'm confused on the hole offset thing. One, will these rims fit and I'm also gonna lower the car with the H&R springs. Will I have any problems? Will this offset push the wheel/tire in towards the body or out towards the wheel well?

Thanks for all your help.

It will push the wheel out, but with a 205/45R17 you will not rub once you drop it.

Yes, the key is to use stock sized tires or smaller tire diameter.
205/45-17 is fine even with lowering.

Which tire?

Stock wheels are 17x7 with +48mm offset. 4x100 bolt pattern

+42mm offset is less than stock so the wheel sits more to the outside but still OK. If you drop your suspension and use a taller tire like 215/45-17 then there is some risk of rubbing in the rear against the wheel arch plastic. Trimming might be needed or make rear camber more negative for more clearance. Fronts are OK.

Make sure that the new wheels will fit the 14mm bolts of the R56 and if needed you get the hub centering rings that will fit the wheel onto the MINI wheel hub (56.1mm).

I thank both of you for your replys. I'm going with the 205/45-17 Goodyear Eagle F1's. Have not decided on a Wheel yet. There is so many out there, I have a hard enough time ordering off a menu at a restaurant. Wish me luck! What do you think of centerlines?
