Caliper Covers?

Found something interesting on ebay. Red caliper covers. In the pictures they look a lot better than the crappy rough DIY paint jobs you see around. I wonder how they fit and how they last...

Anyone ever seen anything like this? Seems like problems waiting to happen...

I've seen home painted calipers that look better than that. And, I wouldn't trust those at all. It just takes a few cans of brake clean, a wire brush, the calipers off the car and a few hours set aside on a Saturday. While you're at it, put on stainless lines and flush the brakes!

Some one on the e46 message board bought them and noticed that after one spirited drive, the covers melted... so YMMV

Don't think I'd want to venture the beach there since it keeps getting wiped away by Tsunamis (Su-na-me) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tsunami
