Lotsa folks locally in the BMWCCA love them for AX. However the sizes are very limited in the 15 and 16 inch diameters. I had looked into putting them on to replace my worn out 215-45-16 Falken Azenis RT-615s that had gotten 'hard' but couldn't find a size I wanted to use. If they made a 215-45-16 or a 225-45-16 I would have bought them in a New York minute
I settled for the Hankook RS-2 Z212s in 225-45-16 through Edge Racing. Ya gotta love big meaty tires with a 200 treadwear rating! These (Hankook RS-2) tires are apparently being discontinued

Try this?

Gtech RR based skid pad and slalom testing on 195/55-15 Z1 Star Spec
YMMV however
last year [225/45-15 'Kook RS2] max wet grip around .85g, dry 1.06g
this year [195/55-15 Z1] max wet grip 1.03g, dry 1.13g so far
The Z1s are quieter, tramline less, keep the steering wheel calmer, grip better, and cost less.
The testing was at full tread BTW - not shaved.
Bloody good. Arguably the RE-01R or the Toyo R1R are as good, possibly a touch better depending on conditions.

Hmmm, and I thought everything was bigger in Texas! Thats what they told me when I was stationed at Ft. Hood some twenty plus years ago. Don't know about bigger, but it sure was hotter!!!
Wish there was a way I could test all these tires side by side, but then again, seems like everyone is on the autoX tire bandwagon now. Hard to keep up with all the new tires.
