They say they were checked before they were sent out but obvously not. Told me to just drill them out myself or if I didn't have a drill bit they would send me one on loan. Not happy with that solution. What if you don't have the drill and bit or you screw the job up, what then? I didn't think it was up to me to fix it, I ordered and paid for wheels with 14mm lug holes and that's what I expect to have. Finally had a custom wheel company drill them out for me and Alta offered me twenty dollars in compensation (cost of sending drill bit both ways they said). Cost me a chunk more then that to have them drilled out. Overall I like the wheels. I did not like the trouble or cost to make it right nor do I feel it was made right.
That kind of stuff infuriates me. For some reason, the burden to 'make it right' falls on the customer and not on the vendor. I just don't get it. You have every right to be pissed.

Looks good. You might want to consider blacking out those centercaps now.

got my "similar to feather" wheels in yesterday, disappointed with the center caps, but damn happy with the wheels.

Got em all waxed up last night. Hopefully getting my tires and tpms mounted tomorrow. Probably won't me putting them on the car till next week.

Seems like its common that Alta does not send the centering rings with the wheels as they say they do...

Get used to it! You'll be waxing them all the time. That TW Carnuba won't last long at all.

Carnuba doesn't hold up well to washing, believe me, I understand. I detail cars as a side job.

I use carnuba because it provides a bit more protection then polymer waxes, and doesn't haze when you put multiple layers on. Plus, polymer waxes don't hold up well to hot brake dust, you can still get pitting.

I do put a layer of polymer wax over the carnuba though, to keep the wax from completely stripping when I wash them.

Well they sent me another set, no questions asked when I contacted them, so no worries there. Wheels are on. Pictures being resized for upload currently.

I'm loving these things. They look great, took a noticeable amount of weight out of the car, and yeah, they look GREAT! The guys that mounted everything for me were rather impressed with them, as well as with the change in attitude they gave the car. Granted not as impressed as the Cayman S getting a set of Nitto R compounds mounted that day, but still.

So nice
any reason why you didn't get 215/45/17s instead? are those from Alta? I've sent them an email for a quote.... did you get everything they stated on the site i.e. free hub rings, center caps? thanks. Hope you can drive on those babies soon....

^take a look at the SP sportmaxx too. They don't have the crazy rubber compound, and from what i read will have slightly better ride quality and tire wear.

i'm extremely happy with them, have 215/45/17's. incredible wet traction and hydroplane resistance... they do well in deep puddles too, i ran into a blind puddle, about 5" deep, no loss of control whatsoever.

just an fyi, 215/45 on these konigs are some slightly meaty tires. the tread sticks out a bit far from the outside edge of the rim.

lines up nicely though

Well... I talked to a lot of people about tire size... I like it because its got smaller sidewalls so the rim looks bigger.
Alta did not give me the rings, I got it from the place that mounted my wheels. They did give me the center caps.

wow that looks really nice. those feathers actually look the most aggresive normal fitment rims that is available for us.

Anyone running these in 17" with some kinda BBK? Stock tires are gonna go in probably 2k more miles so these Feathers in black and 17" with Dunlop Star Spec are gonna be my replacements for stock 16" S-Winders. Also was planning on upgrading to the full JCW brake kit but have yet to see any pics on here with Feathers running those brakes. I really don't want to use spacers if at all possible which is what put me off the 17" OZ Ultraleggeras. Didn't want to go with 18" either since prices in tires at those sizes are insane. So, its 17" Konig Feathers but really just need to know if that +40 offset is enough to clear the JCW brake kit.
