Champiro 328 tires
Anyone familar with the Champiro 328 UHP tire? This tire is made by Giti and a local tire shop is speaking favorably of them. A search of the forum turns up one thread so thats not any help.
I dont know if the lack of discusion is telling me that they arent worth considering or if they are just not widely carried.

I would seriously question a tire that does not even have a website. It is most likely a cheap Chinese tire that is of questionable design and quality. Chinese tires are know for that and recalls. Your tire dealer probably gets them really....I mean REALLY cheap and still makes a profit selling you these questionable tires. I would say your tire dealer does not really know about performance tires as well as he knows about business (make a buck). If a CHEAP PRICE is your TOP CONCERN I would suggest something like a Nitto NeoGen or Falken 912. I would not cheap out on tires, its not only about performance but its about your SAFETY.

Thanks very much for the reply. Price is not the biggest factor, I was just curious. Tires seem to cost a fortune locally. 250 each for yoko s-drives, for example. It looks like my best option is tirerack. At around 100 for any I've considered per tire, even after duty and shipping it's nearly 300 cheaper in total after I've paid for installation. I'd like to keep my money local, but in this case I'd be crazy. I'll check out those tires you suggested.

You can try tirerack.com (talk to Alex at Extention 294) and see what they have in your tire size and for your needs at a reasonable price.
They have installers across the country and can ship the tires to the shop for installation.
Your other source might be costco if you can find tires in your size as they often have discounts for a full set of Michelins ($70 off of four) or Bridgestones.
