Just wondering if anyone has heard of or used Evoke wheels. I'm looking at the Evoke M5 in gloss black which looks pretty comparable to the ASA AR1. The things is, I talked to a guy at ProWheelsDirect and they are on special right now for $299 for a set + shipping. He said they weight 18 pounds, which I then confirmed with the manufacturer. Also, FWIW he said he hasn't had any customers have any problems with this brand (but I don't think he would've told me if he did).

So anyone know anything about these? For around $360 shipped, 2.5 pounds lighter per wheel than the AR1, and the color I want (no polished lip), these are pretty tempting as long as I don't hear that they are made of clay.

 

what size and offset are the wheels you were quoted?

 

17x7, ET40, 14mm bolt size

 

Do it:-p man those look 1000x better without the lip polished. post pics when they are one

 

alright, I'm gonna go ahead and order them tomorrow, pending that I don't hear any horror stories in between now and then.
