15" wheels fitting on R56 MCS

I know I remember reading that not all 15" wheels will fit over the front brakes of a R56 MCS, but I can't find a definitive answer to this question:
Will the stock 15" 5-Star Spooler wheels fit on an '08 MCS? (They are 15x5.5, +45 offset.)

Someone who may be interested in buying my Clubman take-offs is asking, and I'm not sure about this fitting-over-the-brakes issue.

Thanks in advance!

No, it won´t fit the larger 2008 MCS front brake calipers.
Smallest MINI wheel would be 16x6.5.
Some aftermarket tirerack.com 15¨wheels will fit the 2008 MCS.

Would 15" wheels fit 06 MCS? I'm looking to buy winter tires, should I go with 16" or 15" would be enough to save money? Thanks!

If you have stock 2006 MCS brakes with no upgrade to JCW brakes then most 16" will fit OK and some 15" will fit depending on which vendor.

Tirerack.com has a login for each MINI and that helps to eliminate possible wheels that won't fit. You should be able to pick either 15 or 16" wheels. Naturally the tire selection will vary with size.

You might want to pick a good winter tire for your area first based on how severe your snow is then pick a size that fits the MINI then pick a wheel size that fits the tire. You can reach Alex@tirerack.com for more info.

There are some values in 15" with a little bigger selection of wheels at reasonable prices vs 16".
