What is the widest tire I can fit?

I was told 215's would work? I have 205s right now. Can I go 215 without rubbing?

You will get more answers if you post is the Tire/Wheels section HERE. You will need to give them a little more info as well. You might also want to read through that section or do a search as it is a pretty common topic.

The short answer is, if you haven't lowered it at all, you should be fine. Other wise, it depends what is done .

But, those are the pro's over in the other section and can be a bit more specific for you.

I run a 215/35 x 18 on 18x7.5 rims with an offset of 42. My car is lowered on Eibach springs with Bilsteins. No rubbing in the front lock to lock or at the back. Per my bro-in-law (20 yr tire industry veteran), the 215 section width (or any other size) varies from one manufacturer to another, especially, when considering different aspect ratios.

thats a size I was considering. You must be pulling some serious camber for extra clearance?

No, Im not sure what the # are, i have alta lower adjustable control arms out back but the tires have only a slight upper lean in. and i do mean slight. Im not getting any unusual tire wear at all and ive put 10K miles on these tires.
falken 915 but im picking up a set of Azenis 615 in about two weeks, and am keeping the same size.

Post what happens. Interesting? I have upper and lower control arms so I am able to get just about any camber angle needed. I just have never stuffed anything bigger then a 215 in the well and before the rear arms it ate my plastic wheel well. At the time I was .075 lower.

miniust thanks I figured thats what he meant. we all get fat figures typing sometimes. lol

I was told from the guy at discount tires, (which I do not by from). that a 205 was recomended size, and may possibly fit a 215. I walked him outside and showed him the 225 on my car and showed him the clearance. my tires measured 8.8" across.

i will keep you posted on the new meats. i heard nothing but great things about them, and they are the same measurements as my current ones.
Ive learned to check the actual measurements, not the numbers on the sidewalls.

im running kumho ecsta mx, they are 225/45/17. got a 17x7 wheel 42 mm offset. no rub on stock suspension. 8.9" section width on those tires. if you have lowered your car at all this size would probably not work, simply because they are to tall. hope this helps
