OK, I decided on the SSR Comps 16" X 7" or 16.5" X 7" and now I need to decide which color. I've seen the anthricite on the EB/B which looks awesome, but does anyone have a picture of the silver SSR Comps mounted on their MCS?
What's your opinion on color choice on my all black MCS?

Pardon my typo in the post above. What I meant to type was the 16" SSR Comps are available in either 16" X 7" or 16" X 7.5". No such wheel size as 16.5" EXCUUUUUSE ME!!

Gatorman,

If you do go with the silver Comps, please, please, please post pics! The very same wheels, in both 16 and 17 inch sizes, are near the top of my list of wheel candidates. I too have an all black MCS and would love to see how it looks.

Good luck with your final decision!

Cheers,

James

There's a guy here in town with an all black MCS and anthracite Centerline Excel wheels (which look very similar to the SSR's). Just my opinion, but silver would look better... the anthracites just don't show up well.

I like silver better. more contrast. sparkles more. Chrome those mirrors while you are at it.

Original thread on powder coating

Be carefull powder coating high tech wheels! (like SSR's) The heat needed to set up such finnishes can alter the strenth of the alloys, specifically if they have allready been heat treated.

I currently have the R90's which are great looking. I still have a set of S-Lites that came off in the boxes new. That said, I can see a set of silver SSR's in the near future.

Go or it - why wait be happy!

You've seen the Anthracite SSRs on my EB/B which I'm very happy with. But if I had an all black MINI, it would definitely be all silver with the machined lip. I didn't realize how much snap the shiny as chrome machined lip adds, even more than a regular silver painted lip! As mentioned before, the contrast would be stunning. It would be one sharp looking MINI!
