Probably but not many post anything about it.

rafthos was not impressed.
SS595 is a value priced Ultra High Performance Summer tire that has been around for some time (some reviews on the internet since 2002).
It has been replaced by the 595 Drift Competition (yes, for drifting).
It has good basic handling but might wear faster than your standard All Season tire when used for aggressive driving or even daily street use.
Definitely not for cold weather under 35 degrees or any snow.
Some reviewers (BMW) estimate replacement needed after 6 to 12 months of use.
Federal tires are not available at any NAM vendors.
Only certain sizes available like-
205/55-16
205/45-17
215/45-17
215/40-17
215/35-18
I see federal tires on some small asian import cars.

Thanks Minihune, I came across an article about using them for racing in Australia, turns out it was 595r, different tire. The local chain, Les Swab sells them as a high performance tires. Sometimes a tire company trying to tap the US market has some good tires at a cheap price. My research seems to confirm they wear fast.I'm looking at Falken 912's, in size 205/45/17 the Falken site says they have "re-inforced" sidewalls.Went to a store that had some Falkens, felt the sidewalls on some, sure enough the 205 series in 912's had real stiff sidewalls, some of the others of the 912's had soft sidewalls. I am not sure of the object in the "drifting" thing. My definition of a drift from my old sports car road racing days was using a drift in a turn could increase traction 15% so you in theory could apply more power at the apex. Sliding and drifting mean two different things to me. What small pics I have seen of "Drifting" looks more like controled sliding.I live out in the desert and have snow tires for the winter. I have read most of your posts and your answers have been very helpful in my hunt for new tires for the MIni, Thank again, Bill
