In case that doesn't pull up.
Bridgestone Potenza G 019 Grid
195/55 HR16 87H
High performance all season.

Right now I have the original runflats.
I don't want to pay $200 a tire for runflats, although
I've had no complaints about a harsh ride as some
have noted (my other car is a CRX with flintstone tires
so I would never notice a 'harsh ride').

I am not able to tell if they are made in china. I really
don't want the made in china ones.

Similar performance and wear to what I have is fine.
I don't drive in the extremes.

Thanks.

Also, I forgot this part.

I've read complaints on how when people got their
runflats off, the place didn't know how to do it, and
messed up their rims.

I am very sure my mechanic does not have special
run flat equipment.

I am not going to a chain, any of them. They are all the same.
The last time I went to a chain, justtires, they took off my
original metal matching valve stems and threw them away,
rubbed grease all over my seat and steering wheel which
took a couple hours to get out, rubbed grease all over my A pillar
which I still can't get off, and scratched my rims to h e l l.

My plan is to take a big cutting disk thing and cut the tires off.
Then take the rims and new tires to my local indy guy.

Does this seem reasonable?

I can also drop them off at the recycle place myself, which
saves about $32. Most places won't let you do that because
of lazy people will just throw them beside the road.

I don't know how true it is but I was warned against trying to cut my runflats off myself, they said it would be extremely difficult so I never tried it.

My local tire dealer did damage my rim and stole my metal MINI valve caps.
Since then I have made sure that anyone that agrees to work on my tires
understands that I will not tolerate any damage caused by there inabilities or carelessness.

That said I recently switched from run-flats to the Goodyear Eagle F1 All Season
and I'm extremely happy to report that these tires are awesome.

They are much quieter than the Pirelli's that came with my MINI and they cushion the ride much more.
I purchased and had them installed by Discounttire but I'm sure you can get a better deal from Tirerack.com

Thanks.
I'm sorry to hear I'm not the only victim of
meth smoking idiots that label themselves mechanics.

I am not thinking it will take me 5 minutes to
cut the tires off. If it takes me 2 hours per tire it is
worth it to me to minimize the amount of times
a stranger touches my car.

I am more than paranoid about it.
My honda has been destroyed by a series
of mechanics, all recommended by people I know,
even work for. They all turned out to be
drunk or on meth. These were not billybob's in the yard either,
but regular shops.

I am EXTREMELY paranoid to have anybody touch my car.

I don't even like the dealer touching it, but with the warranty
I have no choice.
