Are any of you sporting the Nakayama Schumacher R8's? I would like your opinion of them even if you don't have them. I'm ready to pull the trigger on ordering them. I will be getting the exact rim that you see below in 17x7. The offset is 38 and the weight is roughly 18 pounds. The caps are included.

Sorry for the huge picture...

Are they chrome plated? Then my opinion is they are ghetto. Chrome wheels = pimped ride.

Yes they are chrome and I don't get where it would be considered ghetto or pimped. Imagine them on a 2007 MCS laser blue/white with both chrome packages.

You asked for opinions. I gave mine, and it's very unlikely to change. I can imaging them on a 2007 MCS Laser Blue/White with Chrome packages...looking ghetto and pimped.

Also, consider this about chromed wheels. If you rash them, it'll stand out more than silver/alloy painted rims and repairing that means re-chroming the wheel, which is probably not worth it.

I like the style, but not the chrome, very tacky in my opinion.

You are right, I did ask for opinions.

That's not likely. I've driven well over a million miles in my lifetime and I have yet to curb/rash a rim.

Strange, I was just thinking the same thing! Now I have to go dance counter-clockwise around my Mini named 4 times which chanting good luck spells.

Looks good in my opinion! Just make sure the bolt pattern is compatible with the MINI.

Well... I just found out that Nakayama is going out of business or something and the wheel above is discontinued. The search continues...

Maybe next ones without the "extra" lug holes. IMHO.
