Wheel vibrates under braking?

hi guys

i'm experience rather violent (a good half inch of movement left and right), when i lightly press the brakes, not like super light, but just at friction/slowing down braking.
i'm hoping it's just wheel alignment issues, but i'm not 100% sure, cause i recall control arm bushing playing a roll in this kinda behavior.
also another noticeable problem is i'm having very bad "off the line" traction, as in like sporty clutch disengage at under 3000rpm, my wheels will still hop badly, also exiting a corner at under speed limit speed will still causes lose of traction at very low rpms.

i'm guessing something has to do with my camber plate as well, the installation mechanic said that the plates came in stock aignemnt setting, but then when i checked, it has 2 different setting right and left. and i'm not too sure if thats normal. i'm guessing i should bring it to a alignment shop to set the camber plate and do an alignment.

i'm making sure thats all it is
hope you guys can identify my problem abit, cause mechanic isn't a huge help when he doesn't really know my car too well.
thanks guyss

That is sounding like a warped rotor to me.

Yep, warped rotors is likely your first problem. From what I heard, Mini only replaces rotors to fix this...and does not 'turn' them. It's safer to replace the rotors instead of grinding them down, and having the chance of them collapsing under pressure and locking your wheel.

The other problem (bad "off the line" traction) sounds different.

Sounds like a warped rotor to me also.

'collapsing under pressure'? That's a bit dramatic. These days the min thickness doesn't give much room to turn the rotors vs. replacing them, and a turned rotor will have less thermal mass, and thus be more susceptible to warping again.

Definitely address rotors first. Cheap, easy, most likely cause.

i actually have stoptech BBK.. slightly more exp rotors to replace.. haha
but yea, i thought of that too, but doesn't really explain the "off the line/corner out" traction problem.

but i will def look into that, time to replace pads/rotors soon i suppose, braking is getting alittle hard/more pressure lately. i thought it might be the winter weather at first, but seems to me a good enough reason.

if more data is needed, i suppose related issues are
1.) Ksport kontrol pro coilover, it has camber plates intergrated(which btw, are so harsh on the ride lately, like it sounds like a thump/kunk/knocking noises, fully compress springs?)
2.) Stoptech BBK w/ slot rotors
3.) cheap rear rotors, hawks pads

thanks for the help guys! greatly appreciated!

First I'd jack up the car and see if you have any play in the wheels. You know; like a bad bearing, lost lower control arm bolt, left loose mount somewhere, worn ball joint or tie rod end? You don't need a mechanic to find this just some common sense.

If it's all good there then I'd not rule out the 'warped rotor syndrome' despite the ST brake kit. They don't get a free pass on pad smear problems any more than anyone else. If you've been to the track recently with the wrong pads or running hard and beyond the temp range of the pads you have then the pad transfer issues are a potential issue.
