Anyone replaced their Konig Feather center caps with something NOT ugly?

I've got a set of Konig Feathers on the way (17"). The only thing I don't like about them are the center caps. Does anyone have any idea whether or not the mini caps from places like aesthetic creations or the 50mm JCW stickers, etc. will fit over the Konig caps? As far as the chrome part goes, that's getting painted.

Anyone been down this road?

Thanks!

BlackSsapphire,
Right with ya on all of it.
Mine came and i don't like the caps either.
The Konig Logo is a sticker, i'm not installing.
Gonna paint the chrome part matte silver to match the wheels and order from Aesthetic Creations.
I'll post a pic when i'm done, hope you will too.
PS.custon size from AC will take a few weeks

Hey Box,

I did EXACTLY that. Here are the pics... a little tough to capture but they look OEM. The chrome was painted with plasti-dip and the caps were done by AC.

I'm happy with them for sure.

Sappire,
Looks AWESOME, i hope mine turn out that sweet!!
I just ordered from AC and and now i see your pics, i did the mini wing too.
Mine will go on silver feathers so i'm painting the chrome part matte silver to match the rim.
DO you remember what size you used?? 1 3/4 inches or 44MM ?
plus they are just starting a vacation so it looks like i won't see them for awhile,
I'll run "Nocaps " til then,
thanks for the reply

I asked for 1.75" caps since that's what I measured with my caliper. However, Mike just happened to have those on hand (last pair at the time) and they fit brilliantly.

Found some new caps to take the place of the chrome Feather caps. They're Konig Helium caps ! They are a brushed aluminum color with a larger center. I had painted the original Feather caps flat black to match the wheels. Didn't really dig the look of the centers being all black but, had already applied the centers so there was no going back. I was just going to replace the Feather caps with the same caps until I found these ! This time I will "Plasti Dip" the caps except for the centers which I think will stay silver. Not a huge difference, The centers are a little larger and they have a little more detail !
I'll post pictures with them on but here's a shot of just the cap ! the center sticker looks a little hazy but that's because the protection plastic is still on over the center !

The old caps full flat black, Just not enough definition IMOP !

Thanks BlackSapphire,

There not much different then the stock caps that came with the Feathers. The centers are larger then the stock Feather caps and as you can see in the picture, they have the little indentations around the center cap. We'll see ! I'm waiting for the other three to come in the mail !

I messed up after painting the original center caps and was going to just get the same caps until Brian (goodwinracing.com) and I found these ! I hope to have them on next week ! If they don't work out, I'm just going to run without center caps. I kind of like that look as well since these are my canyon carving wheels and not daily drivers !

Did you paint the caliper or purchase that one?

Did you end up doing this? What did you use to paint the caps silver?

I did
I found a perfect match for paint at Orchard Supply Hardware In CAlifornia,
not at home so i can't check the brand, but it is called Matte Silver.
My prep work wasn't adequate and i am constantly touching up small scratches that result from washing.
I only lightly scuffed the chrome finish of the Konig cap. I think they need to be thouroughly sanded and primered to avoid the touch up, when i switch wheels next i will pop them off and do it right.
will try to get a pick up this wweekend but it looks just like blk saffire, only silver wheel, silver cap and blk mini insert from asthetic creation.
best,
Boxcars
