Living with the TPMS alert?

I'm about to replace my stock wheels with aftermarket rims. I'm planning to mount the tire without the TPMS sensor as funds are scarce to buy another set.

How is living with the TPMS alert on a daily driver? Does it drive you crazy? If you had to do it over would you have bought the TPMS and had it installed?

I don't want to take them out of my OEM rims as that would cost more money to get them dismounted/mounted balanced and I would need them again because they are going to be my winter rims.

Should I just quit whining, save my money, wait longer and pony up?

Thanks.

Shop around for tire mounters that will swap out your sensors. If you dont want to buy new ones, the mounting kit should be around $10-15 per wheel. The TPMS alert isnt to obtrusive, but my OCD gets in the way... LOL

A small piece of black electrical tape positioned correctly can make you oblivious to many warning lights on your dashboard...

I just swapped out my winter rims for my summer rims (they're aftermarket with no TPMS). The signal was really annoying for the first two or three days. After that I habituated.

Isn't it just a single notice/ring when the car starts and a light on the speedo? Or does it ring while the car is driving? Does it continuously give an icon on the smaller tach lcd? Sorry for all the questions. I'm about to put my summer set on with no TPMS and was just wondering.
