Does anyone run the Cooper Zeon 2xs?
I just bought a set of these at the local tire shop. Not what I went in to buy, but from all the UHP tires they had on the rack, these were on closeout at $70 a pop for 215/45/17, about $50 cheaper per tire than any others in stock. I did a search, but I can hardly find anyone else on NAM who runs these, only two threads total that discuss these tires lol. I know coopers are virtually unknown for performance, probably due to the lack of serious options, but has anyone else picked them up?
Good to know someone is still making something in the USA too..

Yeah I wish I could have bought those, I'm dying for some wheels. :-P My last tire was a Hankook K104. Put it through some hard driving, and a couple auto-x's, and they lasted me several seasons of use, and they were really inexpensive. Those were like a 300 wear rating, the coopers are a 280, so I'm expecting the same life from them. If they last two seasons from spring to fall, then I'll be happy.

I autocrossed once with FCSCC before they moved even farther away (Fairfield county, what?) and once with CART both in 2007. I do go on the rallies, mostly litchfield and that area. I don't go to any of the far flung stuff, other than the one time i went to MOT07. Did two summer splashes too, perhaps we were both there last summer? Also went to limerock for vintage fest in 2008, and led the group coming from Marcus Dairy. I was living in Norwalk all that time too. (oops, just noticed I haven't changed my profile info lol.)
On a side note- this morning I noticed my Coopers are NOT made in the USA, but even stranger, they're made in England (stamped on the side)... even more surprising that they still only cost me $70.
