Need Replacement for T1-Rs: Please opine.

I have a set of Toyo T1-R's (215/40/17) that are down to their wear bars with about 14,000 miles on them. I'm looking to replace them with a tire that will last longer. I realize that I will be giving up some grip and sidewall stiffness, though I care more about the stiffness than I do about ultimate grip. I want longer treadlife because I don't want to spend money on tires every year, so the cost of the replacement is important as well.
I'm considering the Bridgestone RE760, the Michelin Pilot AS and the Nitto NeoGen. Any recommendations?
One other possibility is the Dunlop Sport Maxx that Tire Rack has on sale for $68/tire PLUS a $60 mail in rebate. I know they won't last long but they're half the price of the Michelins.

More info: I'm leaning toward a 215/45/17 this time around. My R56 is lowered on Cross coilovers. The wheels are 7.5" wide with a 40mm offset.

Thanks for your suggestions.

How much wheel gap do you have now with 215/40-17 tires?

If only a little like a half inch then if you do change to 215/45-17 you will be rubbing and will need to adjust your ride height up.

If you don't want to do that then choose 205/45-17 or stay with 215/40-17.

Bridgestone RE760 is pretty good. Talk to Alex@tirerack.com about your choices for longer wearing.
