Chemical (Home Depot) Wheel Paint Remover

Looking to paint some wheels, but want an easy way to remove paint.
I was looking for a post that mentions a paint removal chemical that can be bought at Home Depot, I am not even sure if that is its prime function (paint removal) But if anyone knows the product or know the thread I'm talking about, let me know.

Klean Strip KS-3 Premium Stripper. Used it to strip the wheels on my Yamaha, works fantastic! Make sure you tape the parts you don't want stripped really well. Don't skimp on the masking tape, buy some good stuff. This stripper is brushed on, and will wrinkle the paint all the way to the metal in about 15-20 minutes.

Get the gel version. Much easier to use.

Will this strip the OEM wheels as well? They have a really tough durable finish underneath the paint.

Should be the same chemical but gel sticks better where you want it.

The gel KS-3 is what I used when I stripped off the black from the wheel lips on my Yamaha. Worked out great, revealing very nice machined aluminum wheels underneath the black enamel paint. The gel brushed on is very easy to manage, puts it right where you want it, with exceptional results.

You were right about gel being better. I got 2 cans of the Klean Strip Air Craft Remover which were pretty much a gel consistency and it worked great. I ran out of the stripper and Auto Zone was the only place that had it, but they were out. I had to buy a Rustoleum Aircraft Remover and it was more of a liquid which would run off, thus leaving a thin coat. Did not work as good, cause the more gel consistency would leave a thicker coat. Think I'm changing my mind on painting them, cause the bare aluminum looks so good.
I will post some pics of my project maybe start a new thread. Thanks!!
