KONIG IMAGINES HELP !!

flangi,
I just purchased a set of 17x7 Konig Imagine's yesterday which I'm picking up today. I will have them mounted next Wednesday and will post some pics after. I've been running the 17" wheels ever since I purchased the car and still have fairly new Yokohama's I wanted to re-use. I spoke with a MCS owner who had the 18" Imagine's but was concerned with his comments about ride and the fact that he had already bent one of the wheels when hitting a pothole. I found them on E-Bay for just over $500 for a new set. My MCS is lowered with H-Sport springs and the offset calculator showed no issues using the 40MM offset on the 17" Imagine.
Good Luck, Jason

flangi,
I think you will find a wide variety of quality among aftermarket wheels. BBS, who manufacturers the wheels for MINI, has always been at the top of their league. I don't think that paying hundreds less for wheels constitutes poor craftsmanship but I do believe there are some cheap wheel manufacturers out there. I think you will be pleased with the Konig Imagines. As far as R90 clones go this is probably your best bet. I also looked at the HP Racing EVO wheel but this required a stud conversion and I wanted to keep my options open for swapping winter/summer sets. I've included the website link to the company I purchased by wheels from so you can see if they will have any other Imagines available.
