Replacing Rear Calipers | A1 Cardone, NTE, or ATE any good?

I may have two bad rear calipers and almost had a heart attack when I learned there was no full rebuild kit and MINI wanted $395+ ea for new ones.

I did some research and found replacement calipers are now made by A1 Cardone ($81 ea + $91 core), ATE ($189 ea), and NTE ($389 set and powder-coated).

Has anyone out there used them and had good or bad experiences?

NTE

About 6 months ago I put JCW's on the front of my O6 MCS and wanted the rears to match the red. I purchased a set of the NTE's in red through the "Brake Warehouse" in NY. The powdered coating was first rate and the service through the "Brake Warehouse" was good as well.

On another note, I still have my old ones with 20,000 miles on them with good pad life left if your interested. You can have them for $100 each with pads, plus shipping. If interested PM me or call me at 443-286-0459. I painted them with black caliper paint when I got the car and that is still in decent shape. If you just want rear brakes and don't care about color, these will work great.

If you want powder coated ones, NTE was great by me.

ATE makes the OEM calipers. I suspect they're the same as original - just without the "BMW" stamp on them.

Picked up a pair of the NTE black calipers from partstrain.com. I chatted with the sales rep and he gave me $25 off, so it was $398 after tax/shipping for the set.
