Hey NAM,

Thought I would post a recent pic of the new wheels and Hamann front spoiler. The Konig's are 17x7 with a 40 offset. The car is lowered with H-Sport springs and I've had no rubbing issues at all. Let me know what you think.

Motor On!

Jason

Saaweeeet! Very low key but in your face at the same time. Understated elegance. Why am I beginning to sound like a wine commercial?

Happy Motoring!

Great looking car! So you went from Hamann to ADR, to Konig? Wow, many wheels

Did the Hamann lip come painted? And where/how much? With the car lowered, does the front lip scrape? And it seems like only DS cars have hamann lips, I never see them in any other colors, hmm. Lastly, any pics of your car close up, and any rear pics (especially the Borla setup )

jason, thank for the picture. i really needed something like that. i actually got some wheels for it and im hoping it would look nice with it. uhm a got a few questions though if you dont mind answering:

1. does the lip come painted? cuz it seem like the other member that lives in like japan has the same exact color on the lip. i was thinking of painting it dark silver thats why.

2. how much was the lip? ive been searchign around prices. and i got like 4 to 500 sometimes more. do you know where i can find cheaper? if not cheaper where can i find it for the cheapest price around? :/

3.have you ever thought about painting your fenders and bumper with the same body paint? i think that would look clean.

thanks jason.

>>Did the Hamann lip come painted?

The lip arrived in finished fiberglass and I had to have it primed and painted. I also decided to have it clear-coated to help minimzie the rock ships.

And where/how much?

I purchased the spoiler from Bavarian Autosport. The price was $499.

With the car lowered, does the front lip scrape?

You have to be very careful! I've only scraped the lip once coming out of our driveway. There was some construction going on and I couldn't pull out at an angle like I normally do. Also, you get used to keeping your distance from the cement parking blocks!

And it seems like only DS cars have hamann lips, I never see them in any other colors, hmm.

There is a blue and yellow MCS which have the lip on this forum. I believe the blue one has it painted to match the car and the yellow has black. Do a search for Hamann and you should find it.

Lastly, any pics of your car close up, and any rear pics (especially the Borla setup )

I will post some additional pics of the rear and close up.

Thanks again! Jason

I went with the Imagine's in Opal. The Opal wheels are painted black on the inside of the wheel. I thought it would cut down on the look of being dirty due to the brake dust problems with our cars.

I did have to have it painted. I also clear-coated it to minimize the stone chips.

Bavarian Autosport for $499. Minimania also has the spoiler for the same price.

I agree but I'm concerned with the issues of stone chips. I have already noticed the black plastic getting dinged up and can't imagine having to touch up the paint every time. Plus the plastic is cheap enough to replace over the years when it gets too bad. I do think it would look cool to paint though!

I don't know if it's ever been tried but I do know the lip was designed for the standard spoilers on the MC and MCS.

Jason,

Great looking car. I was wondering if you have wheel locks on you imagines? If you do, can you please let me know what brand and size they are. I have imagines and can't seem to find the right size. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you,
Robert

Robert,

When I purchased my wheels they included all locking lug bolts. (Each lug bolt uses the same locking key) Please contact Buy Wheels Today in Cincinnati for information on how to purchase these. They can be reached at 1.866.747.6247. The only information I have from the lug bolt box is West Coast Accessories. Not sure if this is the correct box or not. Part number on the box is W27015-CB. Let me know if you are able to locate these locking lug bolts for your Imagines.

Jason,

I called up and they gave me the size with no problem. You have no idea what a problem it was for tirerack and discount tire direct to give me the information, and I still didn't get. I am gonna go with gorilla locks from a friends store instead. I'll post some pics of my mini with the imagines later.

Thanks again,
Robert

We only supplement our Mcguard wheel lock line with Gorilla when Mcguard is not available. Its not that we didn't want to help you, we just lacked the data you needed. Your retailer was not able to provide this information or guarantee?

I'm not trying to insult any of the retailers, I am just explaining what a pain it was. I even called you (Alex) and I guess you were on the telephone or away from your desk. So I spoke with another sales person which was very nice, but couldn't help me. So I called again once I had better knowledge of my wheels and the sales rep. couldn't give me any answer besides, "we only sell the installation package, we don't know the size of the locks, we only tell our warehouse guys your car and wheels and they figure it out." What kind of an answer is that. Well what ever, I have solved my problem. BTW: I didn't buy my rims from a retailer. I bought them from some poor guy that wrecked him car on ebay. He had a brand new set of rims for his car without tires. He needed money, I wanted rims. So he sold them to me shipped and all for $575 dollars. Not bad for 18" imagines which retail for $220 each. I wasn't trying to insult your company. I ready many of your posts and they have been very helpful. Keep up the good work.

Jason,

Since this is your topic, Nice car. I had to tell you again.

Thanks,
Robert

Bigb,

I'm running the Pirelli PZero Nero M+S and the spoiler is by Hamann.
