Thanks Alex!!

I was comparing the set [17x7] for the Miata w/an offset of 38mm and backspacing of 5.43" to the set for the MINI [17x7] offset of 45mm and backspacing of 5.51" - I'm COMPLETELY clueless here, will these be too wide for the MINI?? I guess if all else fails, I could just pick up the set for the MINI then take them to be painted.

The last time i was on the tirerack site the black PF01 in 15x8 was indeed offered for the '06 (late year build/14mm lug) Mini Cooper JCW.

At least it was last week anyway...

I'm considering getting a set of these. How much of a difference will I feel losing 6.4 lbs per corner? Also, how will these hold up for street use?

My rule of thumb is about a 4:1 seat of the pants feel compairing unsprung weight to sprung weight. Like taking 25 lnbs out of the passenger compartment.

These are very strong wheels, but they are light. For street use pay attention to pavemnt contours. When unavoidable, procede as slowly as safley possible.

Alex, I bought a set of these wheels this past spring. I need to order one lug nut and one centering ring and the locking circular wire that goes with it. Can I do this online or should I give you a call?

I have the exact same setup except mine are black with an offset of +38. I love those Hankook tires. Great price. Had a chance to autocross them this last weekend and they did very well!
I don't have pics of my setup yet, as I just installed them about a week ago, but I'll snap some when I get a chance.

Alex,

I am wondering if the spokes 'stick out' more on the +45 more than the +38. I am looking at these wheels with 215/24-17 Continental DW. Car is a '05 MCS on H&R springs. Thanks.

The spoke profile is the same, the mounting flange is thicker on the ET 38.

Nice car you have there!
It's the crease on the spokes and the details that make these wheels beautiful but unfortunately cannot be captured well by camera. MAT Tech and unlike many it is still Made in Japan.

Got a set of PF01s as well. Lighter than my Rota RBs, which the finish started peeling off of. Used it as an excuse to move to the Enkeis.
