We share bolt patterns with older hondas and acuras, correct?
I am looking for some 17 volks but hard finding anything specific to Mini. Trying to figure out what other cars share the same bolt pattern and similar offset.
not many aftermarket wheels advertise their bolt size and central bore size.... i figured it would be just as important as advertising offset dimensions for the most proper fit
So can I run a 17 x 7, 4 x 100 +42 offset wheel made for Honda on my R56? No idea what the center bore is.
You can, if the center bore is greater than 56.1mm, and you can find centering rings to suit. (although some will say centering rings are not necessary, I feel better using them)

yup. definately important to have them sitting correctly on the hub. Also like mentioned... if youve got the 14mm lugs then make sure they fit the rims, or youll have to convert to 12mm, or drill the rims out more... most aftermarkets are large enough for 14s
Sorry to bump this, but I had a question about center rings. Who makes these and how do you know they are the correct size? I found a set of Volks, 43 offset for Integras/Civics that I'm contemplating.
tirerack sells them. if the rims your looking at happen to be on tirerack (if your buying new), then they usually give you rings to make them fit for free
Mini hub diameter is 56mm, as is the hub on older honda/acura but newer Hondas use 64mm. The Enkei is most likely bored to 72.62mm if it uses a ring, but that can vary. You'll also want to check the lug openings to see if they'll take a 14mm bolt (as mentioned above)

And they are cheap too.
Btw if you are getting Volk TE37 or CE28N wheels please post pics.
When did MINIs switch to 14mm lugs? I have an early 2004 is that still in the 12MM range? I'm pretty close to biting on a set of Volk TE37. I did some research and it appears that the 7th generation Civic has a 56.1mm center bore. Is that close enough to the MINI's 56mm that I don't need hub rings?
I'm going to look at a set of Volk TE37s tomorrow, and unlike everyone else on the forums with them (except for Macky) I WILL post pictures

and to think i just sent you a lengthy reply about the TE37s no problemo. a stronger wheel? you might want to consider the RE30 as its 30% more rigid (as per Rays website) but at the same weight of the TE37
