Which Brake Pads?

I have to replace the brake pads on my '07 Cooper. I don't track the car but do putt it through it's paces on winding roads etc.

I have been considering the EBC "Green Stuff" and the Hawk Ceramic Brake Pads. I want something with very little dust build up.

I am running the Hawk pads on my Audi TT and really like them. No dust on my BBS RS wheels.

Please let me know what pads you are running and recommend. If you replaced your pads did you replace the brake wear sensor?

Thanks.

I recommend Carbotech Bobcat CT1521. Better brake modulation for great brake "feel" and low dust. Less of that off/on feeling you get from the stock brakes. I have run Carbotech XP10s and XP12s as well but those are not that good for the street.

I did replace my brake sensor but you may not have to.

The Carbotechs would be a great option for you. We've had many happy customers with them. Give me a call if you want a set I have them in stock, just the website doesn't have all the options on it.

WAY

I switched to the Carbotech 1521 Bobcats after only a few thousand miles. So, I've been using them since 2007. I like them a lot. No noticeable brake dust, but brake feel. They are supposed to be easy on rotors, and last longer than OEM.

at the risk of severe reprisal

check the recommendations vs the vendor list . . . .

then make a decision.

"most represented" is not nec' the best . . .

and NO, I don't have a recommendation other than what I use . . .

I don't recommend 'em ... just describe my experience . . .
