First upgrade, Wheels and Tires

Got tired of the run flats and just ordred from Alex OZ Alleggerita's and Bridge RE960's.
After doing lots of comparisons especially with the tires I bit the bullet.
Must add that Alex was great to work with. Would recommend highly.
Now the wait.

You'll feel like you're driving a different car, and if your experience is like mine with respect to Tire Rack, your wait won't be very long.

I hope to see some pics once you have them mounted up.

These Alleggerita wheels are at the top of my list for this spring. I am looking at the 16x7 ET42.

Did you go for 16" or 17"? Finish?

I hope their is a big difference in the ride. Thats why I went with the 960's. I do a lot of Highway driving and wanted to enjoy the ride without sacrificing on performance.

I went with the 17's in white. My MCS is black with white roof and the white wheels gives the car alot of personality. I get lots of compliments with the white crown spokes it has now. I know that keeping them clean is a PITA but I also will be installing ceramic pads to help keep them clean.

ceramic pads to help keep them clean.

Hawk Ceramics
are a very decent option, pretty good stopping power for a ceramic.

I got the same wheels but in Anthracite and RE-11's. World of difference over the stock run-flats.

Wheels and Tires are on.

Just picked up the car and took a picture with the phone, so excuse the quality.
So, what you all think?

Thanks guys really enjoying the upgrade in ride from the original run flats. The car handles so much better and with these light wheels and new tires. Now I have to change the brakes for some ceramics to try and keep the brake dust to a minimum.

Losing the runflats solves half the problem. You'd be well-served to ditch the factory suspension as well, you don't really realize what a disaster it is until you replace it or drive someone else's upgraded Mini.

Pics? We all want to see your nice new wheels.

Hey, am wondering about getting tires as well. Will Pirelli P Zero Nero M&S Tire - 275/40/17 fit on a cooper? Tires I'm using right now are Dunlop 195/55/16 RFs. If they don't fit, I'm looking into the Bridgestone Potenza G 019 Grids from Tirerack.

What do you all think?

Did you mean 215/40/17?
