Anyone use Girodisc brakes?
I was wondering if anyone on here has any experience with Girodisc. The link to the kit is here. http://www.girodisc.com/catalog/prod...roducts_id=410
I tried to do a search on them but I was unable to find anything. Or do you guys recommend any other kit for around the same price. When I get more money my brakes are going to be the next thing I upgrade.

They are just Centric rotors that have had a grove cut. Some people have has pretty good luck with centrics.
I'm not sure if you want to be the guinea pig for someplace that will give you "magic pads"....it just sounds so...er....odd...
I would recommend you by name brand pads...so they are a known commodity...and you can get objective info on them!! Other than them saying they are "Magic" what do you know? Just that they are low dust street pads...they could be total pieces of crap....the fact they are not very well known also makes me wonder....

Since they state they are machined Centric rotors....you are paying an upcharge for machineing them...centric are good cheap rotors...
There have been many debates of the merits of grooving/drilling rotors, thereby removing mass, making them less able to be do their job as an effective heat-sink. They do look cool, and it does reduce the glazing of some pads (while reducing the life of some types by lots). I think it comes down to, is the machining of a rotor a true value added service? If their pads are right for the mini, it might be worth it, but other than magic, are they a fast street, auto-x, etc pad? If the pad formula is not tweaked for the mini, it might be a great pad, but not good on a mini.
It is like gen1 guys liking green, and disliking the red ebc, but the gen2 guys having the opposite opinion...I would want to find someone who has used them on a mini of the same generation.
