Mini Tire Question

I'm new to the forum so please forgive me if this is an old question. We've had or mini for 2 years and it's time for some new tires. It is a requirement to run the run-flat tires ? or do some choose to run 'regular' tires and carry a spare or fix a flat etc ?

No, you are not required to use run-flats and many people change over to non-run-flat. You should be able to find many threads regarding the possible choices you have.

My guess would be the majority of folks who switch to non-run-flat carry some type of roadside repair kit (slime, compressor, plug kit, something) and probably a bunch have AAA as well.

in the US anyway, this is how most of us do it...it is taking a bit of a chance, but the cost savings, and ride/handling improvement IMO is well worth the risk. There is also a much wider selection of tires in non runflats, especially if you use an alternate size, such as slight wider, while adjusting the sidewall height to keep diameter the same will yeald more options, cost savings, and a grip increase.
