Help w/ new tire size, spare question
So I am a complete noob when it comes to wheels and tires (and really most things about cars). One thing I know is that I'm over the stock 15's on my '08 MC. My tires are on their last leg, and I decided to get new wheels when I needed new tires.
So I already bought a new set of wheels. They're the 17" R98 Webspokes in black. Now I just need to figure out what tires I can put on them.
I've used the configurator on tirerack.com with an 08 MCS w/ 17" wheel option. So would everything that comes up there work for the new wheels I have? Or can someone give me an exact tire size to look for?
Also, since I have a justacooper, I have a spare tire under the car. I'm assuming that it is a 15" spare. If I replace my wheels with 17s, would I have any problems using that spare?
Thanks for any help/advice.

You can use the spare, no issues, but it's not meant to stay on your car because they are different widths. You would have to get the blown 17" rim/tire fixed ASAP if you were in that situation.
For a 17" rim which is 7" wide, the stock tire is 205 45 17.
If you have an 18" rim which is 7" wide, the stock tire is 205 40 18.
So, if you went to tirerack and selected the oem size for 17", those are your options!
