I have an 08 Clubman - never really had any issues with it.

57k miles later, I took it in to get the tires rotated (had them replaced at 49k last winter). The shop does it for free and I was due. I also had them do an alignment.

So I pick up the car, get in and start it up and the TPMS light comes on (yellow) but *only* in the HUD (the little LCD screen, NOT the "dash lights" in the speedometer). So I figured they may have played with tire pressure and not reset the system, so I reset it after acknowledging the TPMS warning. I drive away, the system resets and says "Active". Great.

Well I get home, turn off the car and the stupid warning comes on again! So I then check the tire pressure (A-OK), drive a bit and try another reset, but I keep getting this error.

It's a holiday weekend here so I can't call the shop until Tuesday, but I'd like to give them a heads up if possible - what gives?

I checked the manual and the only TPMS issues it references have BOTH the HUD and speedometer lamps turning on (in various combinations of yellow and red) but in my case ONLY the HUD comes on in yellow and ONLY when I first turn on the car or turn it off.

As I said, the car was fine before the tire rotation and alignment. It rides fine but I'd like the problem fixed. Ideas?

The tire shop probably changed your tire pressure to 32psi. Pump them back up to 38psi and reset the computer again and after reseting you need to drive the car for a mile or two. If that don't fix it I don't know what will.

 

I just had my tires changed, and now the same thing is happening to me. Did you find a solution, or was there a problem with the tpms?

Reset the computer after checking with a good tire gage that you have your pressure even in all four tires. I have Michelin non runflats so I use 36psi all around.

How to reset the lights on the Speedo & Tach is in your manual. It is easy to do.

 

Same issue here. It is odd because the presures are fine and it is only the HUD display icon, not the dash light. With mine, I just swapped wheels from the stock 16' Starblasters to 15' Holies. I mover the TPMS sensors over to the new wheels.

 

I have the TPMS light in HUD but its red. I got new non-runflat tires thats the when it first came on. Right after I left the tire shop. I took it back and they took some of the tire pressure out of tire. 3psi I think and I reset it again. No luck the warning is till on. I was thinking the tire shop damaged one of the TPS. I took it to Mini and they said there wasn't any fault codes being stored and they had reset it but it came back on. Going back on Tuesday to have them look at it again.
