Are the yokohama tires good they seem to be the least expensive. I don't want to get the runflats. I have heard that falken tires are good for the money. Any Help would be appreciated sorry to ask such a standad question.

First ask yourself what you want to use the tires for:
Street use
All weather except snow.
Autocross
Track
Aggressive looks
What is your budget?

The Yokohama AVS ES100 are good for:
Street
Wet or dry weather
Summer use
Autocross is OK-but not the best
Track- works but not the best and if pushed might be prone to chunking.
Depending on size might be about $90+ per tire.
Low road noise, wears well.

Other good performance tires mentioned at NAM:
Bridgestone Potenza Pole Position S-03 (more costly about $160 per tire)
Goodyear Eagle F1 DS-G3 (new and replaces the highly rated DS-G2)
Toyo TS1 Proxes (costs more, not available at tirerack.com)

For autocross mostly and some street use:
Falken Azenis Sport (good for reasonable price, good wear, good performance, not at tirerack.com)
Yokohama Parada Spec 2 (agressive tread pattern, noisy, doesn't wear as long)

Talk to alex@tirerack for more info.

Sorry - Novice question - I never rotated my Dunlops so the fronts are shot and the rears are still OK. I was going to just get another pair of Dunlops for the front. What are your thoughts about putting the Goodyears in the front while leaving the Dunlops in the rear? OK, or no good to mix-match?

I've been happy with the Dunlops - they wore down in 24K miles, which I think it about right for the way I drive... I do alot of highway miles, but I'm kinda quick around those off-ramps...

You cannot mix and match runflats with non runflats.
I would suggest changing to non runflats front and rear in the above tire sizes.
I would just change all four tires at once. 24K miles is pretty good. Maybe 2K more if you had rotated. Performance tires are not very good at the end of their treadlife. In the future rotate every 5000 miles.

im slapping on Falken Ziex512 or the ST115's next spring on the R90's.

SP9000's are good, but not the runflat versions. first off, too stiff, but
it's also too rounded on the tread.

im going for the commuter with alittle spirited driving on weekends setup.
